Snowman nail set!

This nail set was more difficult to do. All stripes and snowmen were handpainted by me taking about 2 hours! This nail set is $18 + $3 shipping, + $1 with additional items. I also have nail glue available for $1. Email me at kelseysnailart@gmail.com, kik me at kelseysnailart, find me on Instagram @kelseysnailart, or comment with questions/comments or if you are interested in purchasing this nail set!

Why purchase nail sets??

Okay so I understand that people see my nail sets for sale and they wonder, "why would someone buy that?" First of all anyone who is a fan of my nail art would of course want one, but these nail sets are an awesome alternative to acrylic nails. If you keep up with my posts on Instagram you should have noticed the tons of post I have about the damage my nails have from acrylics.(If not see picture below)
When applying the nail sets I sell, you put a dab of nail glue and stick on the nail. When applying false nails, such as acrylics, damage can be caused by the glue, drilling, electric filing, filing, and then removal and reapplying. Once you decide to take my nail set off you can lightly buff off the left over glue and reuse the nail set you bought!! A full set at the nail salon is going to cost you at least $25 not including the nail art and you are also causing damage to your natural nails. For half that you can purchase a full set of nails with unique nail art, have them shipped to your house, keep your natural nails healthy and then reuse them.

Turkey nail set for sale!

This set consist of four different polishes and four hand painted turkey. $13 for this set + $3 shipping, $1 with additional items. Nail glue to apply these false nails is available for $1! Email me at kelseysnailart@gmail.com, kik me at kelseysnailart, or comment with questions, comments, or interest in purchasing this one of a kind nail set! 💋

It's fall y'all 🍂

I love these fox nails. I used suede by Avon's line of polishes and acrylic paints. I love this polish!!! It's so gorgeous in person. It dries matte which looks amazing but it's also pretty when it's shiny. For real, if you are looking to buy an avon polish buy this one! By the way, for some reason fox nails are really popular right now!

Halloween nails!!!

International Nail Art Day 2013!!

These are all the nails I did for international nail art day!
These nails I did for my mom. I used Tiffany Case from OPI's Bond girls liquid sand collection for the tips. I also did cross accents with acrylic paints.
For these monkey nails I used Victoria Secret's string bikini and white, brown, and black acrylic paints for the dots and monkeys.
And last, the nails I did for myself! The picture above is my non dominate hand. I used gargantuan green and honey Ryder from OPI. For the dream catchers and the feathers, I used acrylic paints. I also used Tiffany Case for the dots in the dream catcher. Oh and the gem is from bornprettystore.com Check out previous post for reviews of this store. Hope you like all these designs and had an awesome International nail art day!

Leopard Print Nails!

I used Sephora by OPI's under my trench coat, OPI's honey Ryder, and Essie's licorice for these nails! I painted my thumb, index, and pinkie fingers under my trench coat. Licorice on my middle finger and honey Ryder on my ring finger. Then I added random blobs of honey Ryder on the fingers with under my trench coat and added black half circle things around them to create the leopard print affect. Hope you all love this design as much as I do. Let me know what design you would like me to do next by commenting on here or telling me on Instagram!

Love Bird Nails with Real Feathers!

Okay so if y'all follow my Instagram you probably saw where I got new nail art brushes and feathers from Michaels craft store which I will be posting reviews on soon! I love these feathers so much. I got a whole bag of them for like $2! This is my first time applying feathers and I think it was pretty easy. There are tons of videos on YouTube though if you are having trouble.
You can see more of the detail of the birds in this picture.

And here is my Cinderella hand. Yes, I did this with my non-dominate hand.

Nail Envy and Essie's Grow Faster: Week One

This picture is day one of pairing nail envy and Essie's grow faster. I found that nail envy definitely helped to thicken and strengthen my nails, but didn't help them grow. Once I paired it with grow faster I saw much more growth.

I did break my pointer and middle finger on my right hand, but over all for one week I think they look good. I can tell a difference in the depth of the ridges left from acrylics.
I'll keep y'all posted on future progress!

Simple Nail Design Sunday?

I was thinking about starting Simple Nail Design Sunday. Where every Sunday I post a new picture tutorial on a new simple and easy nail design you can do yourself! Let me explain what I mean by "picture tutorial." I would post pictures step by step and explain in detail what to do and how to do it to accomplish this design. Also, you could comment a design idea you would like me to do the next week. Is this something you would be interested in? If so, let me know and I will start tomorrow!

Born Pretty Review: Nail Art Brushes!

I order a set of 15 nail art brushes for my sister click here to go straight to these brushes in the store. I haven't used these brushes because they are obviously not mine, but they do appear to be good quality and a good range of brushes. One even has a dotting tool on its opposite side. And as always the price is amazing, only $5.96 for this set of 15 brushes! This is what I would suggest for beginners!! This is cheap so if you mess up a few you won't hate yourself. This set includes two fan brushes, two striper brushes, three brushes that look good for clean up (which is very important) and some other miscellaneous brushes. So for all of you who want to get started in nail art this will be the best 6 bucks you can spend!

I ordered a set of three striping brushes from Born Pretty Store click here to see these brushes in the store! They were $2.57. GREAT PRICE! These brushes are good quality a lot better than what you will find at a Sally's or other "beauty supply stores" that don't really focus on nail art. They come in three different sizes which includes thickness and length. The thinnest is also the shortest and I think this brush is a great brush for detailing. The other two brushes could be used for detailing, but I think the thickest one will best be used for a striping brush only, but that is just me. I think these brushes would be great for someone who is not necessarily a beginner but still not a profession if that makes sense at all. I think buying brushes that are cheaper is smart while you are still learning! Overall, I really like these brushes. The thinnest is in my top five favorite brushes!

Last, this brush is more for professionals I would say because it is $1.25 for just one brush where beginners you would probably rather have 15 for just four dollars more, but this brush is very usable and easy to work with so anyone can use it. You can choose from four different sizes (thickness, length) I personally chose the second one, but after I got it I wished I would have gotten the thinnest one. click here to go straight to these brushes in the store!

Born Pretty Store Review: Striping Tape

I ordered two striping tapes from www.bornprettystore.com in silver and white. They were only .99 cents each! The first time I used them they came off completely clean. They are definitely not bad quality! Super easy to use and they look so good! They only thing I do not like about this product is the plastic roll the striping tape is wrapped around. It kind of falls out and moves around, but over all that is not that huge of a problem. I recently used striping tape in my nails for Talia Joy click here to see those nails!

Born Pretty Store Over All Review

Recently I ordered TONS of stuff from www.bornprettystore.com so I am going to do an over all review and also two reviews on my favorite products I got! If you go to my instagram account you can see the pictures I posted of all of these items. Okay so here we go! I placed my order on July 4 and received it on July 19. They advertise that you should receive your purchase in 2-4 weeks. I got mine in 2 weeks in 2 days so great timing! Also, I paid $3 extra to have a tracking number so that I can keep up with my package and I love being able to have this option! At first, I could not figure out what my tracking number was so I shot an email to them and a customer service lady replied quickly with my tracking number. She was very polite and made me feel like she didn't mind helping me so thanks Sophia! I think that they have great prices and so far I really like all of the products so far. I bought striping tape for .99 cents each, 5 dotting tools for about four dollars, a set of three striper brushes for about two dollars, 2 wheels of gold nail charms for about five dollars, and some other rhinestones and charms. Overall I think this website is amazing! There are so few stores to buy nail art tools where I live so I love being able to find the products I need online for a reasonable price! So everyone interested in nail art you have to check out www.bornprettystore.com Oh and they also sell a lot of more stuff like bathing suits, make up, jewelry, cell phone accessories, and a lot more stuff!

Fourth of July Nails

This is my first blog post so please bare with me. I used Essie Forever Yummy and two "no name" L.A Colors. I also used tiny silver star glitters that I bought from a dollar store. Hope you like them!
This is my cinderella (right) hand! Just used a white striping polish over Essie Forever Yummy on my middle finger and glitter stars L.A Colors blue. I also entered these into a contest on Instagram.

This is my left hand. First, I placed tape on my middle finger to create the shape of the blue and then filled it in with the polish. Then, I filled in the rest of the space free-handed with the essie polish and on my ring finger nail. Next, I used the same white striping polish to create horizontal lines.

Help me!

Okay yall so I am completely new to this whole blog thing and to say the least I am lost. Any suggestions would be great!
